If you talked to a persona
If you called, chatted with, texted or messaged a persona on WhatsApp, the conversation belongs to the business that runs the persona: it decides how long it is kept (see our privacy policy). Ask that business to delete it. When it does, Humatone deletes the transcript, any recording, and anywhere they were quoted.
If you can’t tell which business it was, write to [email protected] with the number you used and roughly when. We will pass your request to the business and help it answer within one month.
On WhatsApp, deleting a chat in the app removes it from your phone only. WhatsApp itself is run by Meta, under its own privacy policy.
If your organisation connected WhatsApp
If your organisation connected its WhatsApp Business Account to Humatone through Meta’s sign-up, you can take that access away at any time:
- In Meta: in Meta Business Suite, open Settings, then Integrations (or Business integrations), and remove Humatone. Its access to your WhatsApp Business Account ends at once.
- Then tell us: write to [email protected] from an email address on your Humatone workspace, naming the workspace and the WhatsApp Business Account. You can also just write to us, and we end the access ourselves.
Within 30 days of your email, we delete:
- the access Meta gave us, and the link between your WhatsApp Business Account and your workspace;
- its identifiers, its business name, and the WhatsApp sender registrations of your personas’ numbers;
- your message templates, as we hold them.
Your personas stop answering on WhatsApp. Their WhatsApp conversations are kept for the period your organisation chose, like any other conversation, unless you ask us to delete them too. Your WhatsApp Business Account, its numbers and its templates stay yours, in Meta.
If you use the console
An owner can delete a workspace, and everything in it, from the console’s settings; it goes 14 days later, and can be stopped until then. To delete your own account, or a whole organisation’s, write to [email protected]. Your organisation’s agreement with us sets how long deleted data takes to clear from backups.
If you asked about early access
Write to [email protected] and we delete your enquiry and our correspondence about it.
What we have to keep
We keep only what the law requires after a deletion: invoices and financial records (usually for six years), the business details telecoms regulators require for numbers issued in your organisation’s name, and a record that you asked us to delete your data and when we did.
Asking us
- Email: [email protected]
- Post: Glowar Ltd, Henge Barn, Pury Hill Business Park, Alderton Road, Towcester, Northamptonshire NN12 7LS, United Kingdom
We confirm when it is done, within one month of your request. If you are unhappy with how we handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
